Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, who sees it, and how to make us delete it. Written to be read, not skipped.
Who we are
CODE (“we”, “us”) operates the online store at code-cult.com. We are based at The 5th Settlement, New Cairo, Egypt. For any privacy question, contact us on WhatsApp at 01121272240 or by email at codeeg994@gmail.com.
This policy explains how we handle your personal information when you visit our store, place an order, or contact us.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Order details — your name, delivery address, phone number and email address, so we can ship your order and reach you about it.
- Payment information — handled directly by Shopify and its payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
- Account details — if you create an account, your login email and your order history.
- Messages — anything you send us on WhatsApp, email or through the contact form.
- Marketing preferences — your email or phone number if you choose to subscribe.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser data — IP address, browser type, operating system and screen size.
- Usage data — which pages and products you viewed, what you added to cart, and how you arrived at our store.
- Cookies — small files that keep your cart working, keep you logged in, and help us measure our advertising.
Why we use it
- To fulfil your order — process payment, pack, ship and deliver it, and handle returns, exchanges and refunds.
- To communicate with you — order confirmations, shipping updates, and replies to your questions.
- To prevent fraud — verify orders, particularly cash-on-delivery orders, and protect against abuse.
- To improve the store — understand which products and pages work, and fix what doesn't.
- To market to you — only where you have opted in, or where permitted by law. You can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the parties we need to in order to run the store:
- Shopify — the platform that hosts our store and processes orders and payments.
- Payment providers — to take card payments securely.
- Our courier — your name, address and phone number, so your order can be delivered.
- Analytics and advertising services — such as Meta and Google, to measure and target our advertising, where you have consented.
- Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information.
Our service providers, including Shopify, may process and store data on servers outside Egypt. By using our store you accept that your information may be transferred and stored internationally under those providers' own protections.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep your cart, checkout and login working — the store cannot function without these. We also use analytics and advertising cookies to understand how the store is used and to measure our campaigns.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential cookies will break checkout.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil the order, honour returns and exchanges, and meet our accounting and legal obligations. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Support conversations are kept for as long as they are useful for resolving your issue.
Your rights
- Access — ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix anything inaccurate.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your data, except records we must legally keep.
- Opt out of marketing — unsubscribe from any email, or just tell us on WhatsApp.
- Object — tell us you don't want your data used for advertising or profiling.

Security & children
We use Shopify's secure, encrypted infrastructure and restrict access to your data to the people who need it to do their job. No online system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Our store is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our store or the law changes. The current version always lives on this page, and the date below tells you when it was last revised. Significant changes will be announced on the store.
